Aerial Lift/Elevated Work Platform

This course is for employees who operate an aerial lift. This course will cover proper vehicle operation, the hazards of operating the vehicle in the workplace, and the requirements of the OSHA/MIOSHA standard Part 32 for Aerial Work Platforms. A boom support and scissor lift will be utilized for this training.

    American Red Cross Adult CPR/First Aid/AED

    This course is designed to help students recognize and respond appropriately to emergency medical situations including cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies for persons age 12 years or older.

    American Red Cross certification will be issued and is valid for two years.

      Asbestos Awareness

      Asbestos Awareness Training is required for all employees whose work activities may contact asbestos-containing material (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing material (PACM) but do not disturb the ACM or PACM during their work activities.

        Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)

        Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) training is a unique, curriculum-based program that builds a solid foundation in safety knowledge for the beginning practitioner as well as the experienced professional.

        The course consists of 40 hours of hands-on, instructor-led learning, delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers. COSS meets the requirements outlined in ANSI Z490.1.

        COSS is an INVESTMENT in your career. COSS will provide you with the knowledge necessary to help lower fatalities, near misses and OSHA citations.

        COSS graduates will be able to:
        • Determine the true cost of accidents
        • Calculate total recordable incident rates
        • Search records to assess where the likelihood of an accident may lie
        • Utilize the Code of Federal Regulations
        • Identify hazards, determine regulatory requirements, implement corrective actions and       train personnel in required changes
        • Complete risk analyses
        • Perform accident investigations
        • Develop and implement a safety audit
        • Communicate corporate safety initiatives
        • Develop and maintain company safety plans

        CANCELLATION POLICY
        For a full refund, cancellations must occur 10 business days prior to the class. Cancellations made after that date will be subject to a fee equal to 1/2 the cost of class. All no shows will be charged the full cost of the class.

          Competent Person Fall Protection

          If you are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of a management fall protection program, this course is designed for you. Do you supervise people at heights? If so, you need Competent Person training. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate acknowledging you have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as a Competent Person. This training includes Competent Person and Competent Inspector.

            Confined Space Entry

            The Confined Space Entry course is vital to anyone working in or around confined areas where:

            • The space is large enough and so configured that an employee can
              enter and perform assigned work
            • The space has limited openings for entry/egress
            • The space is not designed for continuous human occupancy

              Confined Space Rescue

              The Confined Space Rescue course is vital to anyone working in or around confined areas where:

              • The space is large enough and so configured that an employee can
                enter and perform assigned work
              • The space is not designed for continuous human occupancy
              • The space has limited openings for entry/egress
              • Rescue procedures would be applicable

              What will you learn in this training?

              • To safely and confidently understand and evaluate the hazards and procedures associated with confined spaces
              • How to differentiate between a Permit-Required confined space and a Non-Permit-Required confined space
              • The hazards associated with confined spaces and outline duties of all members of a confined space entry team, emergency procedures and plan development
              • The need for appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and selection characteristics for each level of protection
              • The different types of direct-reading instruments, including their mode of operation and limitations
              • Hands-on experience in the Confined Space Simulator

                        Fall Protection Authorized User

                        This course is designed for individuals working at height and offers an awareness of the issues involved with fall protection. This course focuses on the theory of fall protection and the need to protect workers at height.

                        Participants are introduced to the legislation governing fall protection as well as the components of a fall protection system including holding devices, anchorages, connectors and rescue.

                        Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as an Authorized Person.

                            Fall Protection Competent User

                            OSHA defines a Competent Person as a “one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable conditions in the surroundings and work areas which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous and who has authorization to take prompt corrective action.”

                            Why should I take Competent Person training?

                              Hazwoper Series – 40 Hour

                              This class is for general site workers (such as equipment operators, general laborers and supervisory personnel) engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities which expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances – including hazardous waste. Topics covered include how to prevent spills and proper storage, handling and inspection of containers. Employees who are engaged in one of the following operations as specified by OSHA CFR 1910.120(a)(1)i-v) and 1926.65(a)(1)(i-v) should also attend.
