At Great Lakes Safety Training Center, our training is delivered using the latest technology, experienced instructors and small class sizes to provide an effective learning experience. Training classes are offered at our Midland location, but can also be held at your facility upon request.
Aerial Lift/Elevated Work Platform

This course is for employees who operate an aerial lift. This course will cover proper vehicle operation, the hazards of operating the vehicle in the workplace, and the requirements of the OSHA/MIOSHA standard Part 32 for Aerial Work Platforms. Competent Person Fall Protection

If you are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of a management fall protection program, this course is designed for you. Do you supervise people at heights? If so, you need Competent Person training. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate acknowledging you have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as a Competent Person. This training includes Competent Person and Competent Inspector.

This class is for general site workers (such as equipment operators, general laborers and supervisory personnel) engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities which expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances
– including hazardous waste. Topics covered include how to prevent spills and proper storage, handling and inspection of containers. Employees who are engaged in one of the following operations as specified by OSHA CFR 1910.120(a)(1)i-v) and 1926.65(a)(1)(i-v) should also attend.
