Board of Directors

Bryan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, a Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety, and an Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) all from the University of Minnesota. Bryan is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional(CSP). He moved to Midland in 2006. Bryan has 25 years EH&S experience and has worked in EH&S throughout most of his career with Dow/Corteva. In 2022, Bryan moved to Niles Industrial Coatings as their Vice President of Safety. Bryan lives in Midland with his wife, Karin and their two children, Weston and Evelyn.

Roger started his career in the industrial painting trade 28 years ago working his way through the ranks to a VP position. Roger then began a new role as the Coatings Operations Manager with National Industrial Shop Coatings. Roger has a very extensive background in the coatings industry from all types of abrasive blasting, fireproofing, tank linings, spray/brush/roll and trowel applied coatings.

Roger also holds a NACE level 2 certification along with many other certifications.

Roger has been married to his wife Shelly since 1988 and they share a daughter Nichole.

Mark joined Three Rivers in 1994 and currently is the Executive Vice President and CFO, where he builds upon the finance team’s strengths, keeping them consistent with the company’s focus and commitment toward people and customer service. Mark leads the company’s strong financial policies and balance sheet, overseeing all financial functions and administration/financial systems. Mark is also a Director and Treasurer on Three Rivers Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee and Finance/Compensation Committee. Mark attended CMU, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting.

John has more than 16 years of experience in the construction field. He began his career working at Fisher Contracting’s heavy diesel mechanic shop as a shop assistant at the age of 15. Since then, John has worked his way up to where he is today, Fisher Contracting’s Environmental Health and Safety Director. John oversees a team of Safety Representatives and is responsible for the safety program at Fisher Contracting.

Jason has held multiple positions at Nexteer, working in several plants at the Saginaw Site beginning as a front-line supervisor in the manufacturing work environment to his most recent assignment of Environmental, Health & Safety Manager. Jason grew up in Hemlock, Michigan where he worked on the family horse farm where his mother currently still resides.

He attended high school at Michigan Lutheran Seminary and attended Delta College where he earned an Associate degree in Applied Science. He then attended Northwood University in Midland, MI where he earned his Bachelor degree in business administration, majoring in Management. Jason began his college career majoring in Chemistry, where he worked at the former Dow Corning Auburn Site as a technical co-operative student in the advanced electronic materials development lab.

He then transitioned into business where he worked as a co-operative student at the former Dow Chemical Company working in one of the chemical plants. He joined Nexteer Automotive in 2003 and has continued to lead improvements across the site while advancing his career.

Alison graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1993. Following graduation, Alison joined Dow and moved to Midland, Michigan. Over her 25 year career with Dow, Alison held a variety of roles including Production and Improvement Engineer positions, Project Manufacturing Representative, Improvement Leader, and Production Leader. Alison is currently a Production Leader in Dow’s Silicones manufacturing operations. Alison lives in Midland with her husband, Dave Midkiff, and their two children.

Jeff was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan and started working at the Nexteer Automotive, former General Motors Steering Gear, in 1994 as a Facilities Maintenance Manager. Jeff joined Covenant HealthCare in November 2012 as the Director of Facilities. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Oakland University. Jeff has had past involvement in coaching for Southwest Little League in Bay City, Children’s Learning Center Dyslexia walk, and 18 years overseeing the Berger Family Endowed Scholarship for Saginaw Valley State University College of Business and Management.

Nick is currently a Project Manager for SK Siltron CSS in Auburn, MI. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from CMU. Various other roles include engineering, maintenance and facility management for Meers Engineering, Trane, Dow Corning, MidMichigan Health and Delta College. His various roles, regional exposure and broad experience would be an asset to GLSTC and our current board of directors.

Ryan started at GE Insulation over 20 years ago, and is currently the Vice President. He is responsible for daily operations, overseeing/bidding/running commercial, industrial and chemical plant projects, hiring and placement. Ryan is active in COST and served as chairperson for two years. While being a part of GE Insulation, they have won National Safety Excellence and Merit awards in the category of Specialty Contractor for multiple years.

Rebecca is currently the Environmental Health and Safety Director at Central Michigan University. She holds a BS in Biology from GVSU, a MS with an emphasis in Immunology and Toxicology from CMU and a Ph.D in Food Safety and Environmental Toxicology from MSU. Her current role includes maintaining accreditation compliance and overseeing the EH&S curriculum. She works closely with program assessment while advising students on internships and job opportunities, many research projects while also teaching Environmental Health and Toxicology courses at the university. She has worked on several research grants and has many publications in her name. Many responsibilities are unlisted here, but her background and insight in environmental health and education locally, regionally and nationally would be a huge asset to GLSTC and our current board of directors.

Rob is the Director of Facilities Management at Delta College. He earned his Master Electrician Certification in 2005. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Colorado Technical University and an MBA from Wayne State. Prior to his current role, he worked at MyMichigan Health, working his way up from an electrician to System Director for Facilities and Construction.

Outside work, Rob enjoys fishing, saying salmon fishing is his favorite pursuit in the fall. He also enjoys playing golf and camping with his family.
