OSHA defines a Competent Person as a “one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable conditions in the surroundings and work areas which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous and who has authorization to take prompt corrective action.”
Why should I take Competent Person training?
If you are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of a management fall protection program, this course is designed for you. Do you supervise people at heights? If so, you need Competent Person training. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate acknowledging you have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CSA requirements as a Competent Person. This training includes Competent Person and Competent Inspector.
